OVERVIEW

Grab your Goose and Grab your Mech, it's time to battle it out among the battlefield of stars!

A card game where 2 players pick their own unique Pilot Goose and design a mech to do battle. Manage resources and find a balance between offensive and defensive options to achieve victory!

Mecha Goose: The Card Game was created as a 2 month-long design project during my 2rd year at Sheridan College. Learned to use and understand number balancing and weight values in Excel, as well as working in a fast paced environment.

RULEBOOK

Card List

Creating a card list involved multiple moving parts that required discussion with the team as a whole. Components such as Resource Economy, Card Strength, Abilities and Type.

The inner team discussion regarding the card list was developed side by side with our rulebook. Understanding our vision for the game was one half, the other half was to make sure the cards themselves were ready to be balanced and adjusted.

Card Calculator

The follow-up to the card list was to make a calculator  that could be used for multiple facets. The starting use was to check for how strong a card was, determined by a weight value, and cross referencing it by the amount of those cards vs the size of the deck.

Another use was to calculate odds of pulling a card and the percentages that would come with multiple situations, such as starting hands, first 10 cards, 20 pulls, etc.
